The Christmas Trees are all down. The beautiful decorations are all “wrapped up” and put away.
But, the loving memories and feelings of contentment linger on.
Every Christmas Acorn Hill sponsors “Deck The Halls” contest. Each tenant with the help of family members is invited to decorate the entry way, kitchen and living room of their apartment. When Deck the Halls day arrives, guided tours are provided. Then while enjoying Christmas Cookies and Hot Chocolate, the tenants decided what apartment was their favorite. This year’s Traveling Trophy went to Leona Dahlke. One tenant mentioned “it was so cozy and warm”.
Again this year a very special thank you goes out to Frank and Marge Morris (Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause) for their visit during our Annual Tenant and Family Christmas Party. Every one appreciated the gift they received from Acorn Hill.
It is with sadness we said goodbye to Patti Roddy and Ed Fochs this last month. They will always hold a special place in our hearts.
We extend a warm Welcome to Wally Rozella and Mim Bemis. These long time “Mosineeites” now call Acorn Hill Home. We are happy to have them as part of the Acorn Hill family. They both welcome your visits and calls.
What will the month of February bring? A Mardi Gras Celebration, A Valentine Luncheon with special music and Red Hot Bingo. On Presidents’ Day our Tenants will have lunch with Abraham Lincoln. Yes, you read IT correctly…Abraham Lincoln himself. All of this in addition to the usual fun things that are planned for our tenants. Check the Large Calendar in the Activity Room or online for dates and times and join us if you can.
