September 2019 11th Annual Family and Friend Picnic
Tenants and their families, volunteers and staff gather together at Acorn Hill for their 11th Annual Family and Friends Picnic. Tom Mielke and Friends provided wonderful music. And of course there was the traditional pinata for the kids.

August 2019 Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest
Tenants and family/staff having fun at the Annual Watermelon Seed Spittin’ Contest. Tenant with the longest spit is Mim with 160.50 inches. Family with the longest spit was John with 304.00 inches.

MHS Adaptive Family and Consumer Ed Class June 2019
Mosinee High School Adaptive Family and Consumer Education Class visits with tenants during finals week. The students made fleece blankets for all of the tenants. The tenants were very appreciative of the wonderful work and generosity of the students and staff.

Cheese tasting with Jenna Breitenfelt June 2019
Wisconsin Valley 2019 Fairest of the Fair, Jenna Breitenfeldt, visited Acorn Hill for their annual Cheese Tasting Event. Tenants sampled Monterrey Dill, Bacon Cheddar and Chocolate Fudge Cheese. Of course the event wouldn’t be complete without enjoying Mullins fresh cheese curds. Jenna shared her experiences in dairy farming and being Fairest of the Fair. Her passion for both were appreciated by the tenants, many of whom come from dairy farming themselves.

Valentines Day Lunch February 2019
Valentine’s Day Sweethearts of Acorn Hill. Tenants enjoy a Valentines lunch of Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi , Vegetable Medley, French Bread and Strawberry Bliss.

FCCLA Afternoon
FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) spend an afternoon with tenants playing games, sharing and making memories.
